On April 17, 2023, the Vietnamese Government issued Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection (“Decree 13“), the first legal instrument in Vietnam that provides a comprehensive framework for the protection of personal data. 

Applying multi-disciplinary approach, BDO’s Risk Advisory Service (RAS) team and Legal team collaborate closely when servicing clients for both legal and technical aspects required by the Personal Data Protection regulations of Vietnam.

Based on the needs, BDO assists its clients in:

1. Data Protection and Privacy gap assessment/audit
2. Data Protection and Privacy implementation
3. Providing support and advice on day-to-day requests and/or on specific data protection related issues.
4. Provide data protection training and awareness-raising initiatives based on the needs of the organisation.
